Niceee

Sometimes I find myself trying to decode
why we’re not the same (feeling pity for our case).
You’ll never take me to a prom nor see me falling with high heels,
I will never take you to my home nor laugh of your face
while you try to eat the inedible things I cook,
we will never go to a park nor talk about
why squirrels are not purple,
I will never meet your parents or your friends
as well as you will never meet mine.
We will never lie, that’s true, but we will never tell the whole truth.
There’s always going to be something
I won’t consider worthy for you to know,
I’ll always hide a part of me and you will too.
